Sun lotion for the car
Landau, May 18, 2007 - Summer has finally arrived! But pay attention: too much sun may damage the car paint. This may result in burned-in dirt, dull paint and premature aging of parts. However, insects, bird droppings and tree resins also belong on the list of paint killers. This makes it very important to take care of your vehicle now. The NIGRIN care experts will let you know what care products are required for the car in the hot season.
The paint on the hood of many cars is faded - it looks dull, almost whitish. The cause: too much sun and UV rays. "The dead color pigments of the paint show, that the car was not maintained properly. The car is attacked by road salt in winter, while the UV rays do the damage in summer. Frequent maintenance is also required in summer", explains Olaf Menzel, car care expert at NIGRIN. Nano-technology was recently introduced into car maintenance and it offers significant advantages: very small particles - so-called nano-scale waxes - seal the materials, whether it is paint, leather or plastics. These nano-particles cover the material practically with a second skin and protect it against moisture, dirt and even UV rays.
In summer, it is recommended to apply a protection layer based on nano-technology when polishing the paint. This conserves the paint and protects it against premature aging due to sun exposure. Sun lotion protects our skin and, by using UV blockers, car maintenance materials provide the same service for our cars - for the paints, fittings, plastics or leathers. As we all know, leather requires especially high maintenance. A special car cleaning material is required for the surface cleaning of the car.
